This quaint Village is at the intersection of Grand and 11th Avenues. It offers an exciting array of six galleries and shops, each in its own small historic house, and positioned behind The Paisley Violin Café.

Over two years ago Gina and Derrick Suarez conceived of building this village which consists of World War II houses constructed for holding German and Italian prisoners of war. The houses were moved from 19th Avenue and McDowell to their current location on flatbed trucks. Each one was painstakingly renovated, redoing all electrical, plumbing, windows and doors as well as refinishing the beautiful wood floors. They are positioned on huge metal I-beams. Old uniforms and hats were found in cupboards.

When purchased, the houses were in a faded shade of whitewash, but they now each have their own vibrant color. The Paisley Violin Café offers live music and an extensive wine list as well as a great international mix of domestic and import beers and is especially lively on First Fridays.
